To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has received about proposals to widen the M4 motorway at West Drayton.

My Department has received some 300 representations about the proposals to widen the M4 between junctions 3 and 4B. They are mainly opposed on grounds of increased noise, air pollution and environmental impact; some also suggest alternative proposals.
