§ Mr. BaldryThe Government will continue to support the regeneration of urban areas through their main programmes and special measures. These measures include bringing together English Estates, derelict land grant and city grant into a single Urban Regeneration Agency which will be a major engine of renewal; supporting the urban development corporations which have already attracted some £12 billion in private investment; and encouraging local regeneration through city challenge.
