To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans he has to develop energy conservation projects both in domestic and business buildings; and if he will make a statement.

To encourage energy efficiency at home so as to reduce the threat of global warming, my right hon. Friend will tomorrow launch the Helping the Earth week.

At the same event, the Energy Saving Trust will launch a pilot trial of local energy advice centres which is partly funded by the Government.
