Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what tests the French Government have reported to(a) European political co-operation or (b) the European Foreign Affairs Council under the provisions of article 34 of the Euratom treaty on nuclear tests conducted on any of its overseas territories since 1963.

We are not aware of any such notifications having been made under article 34 of the Euratom treaty.
