To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement on trade with Chad.

United Kingdom exports to Chad in the year to September 1993 were valued at £1.94 million up 55.02 per cent. on £1.25 million the previous year. In 1992 the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development United Kingdom market share in Chad was 2.1 per cent.; in 1991 it was 2.5 per cent. United Kingdom imports from Chad in the year to September 1993 were valued at £0.87 million down from £2.36 million for the year to September 1992.
