Whether they have indicated to President Yeltsin that their support for him was unconditional and did not depend on the constitutionality of his actions.

We have made clear that support for President Yeltsin is based on the continuation of democratic and economic reform in Russia. The Russian people will be asked to approve a new Russian constitution by referendum on 12 December following extensive consultation with constituent bodies earlier this summer.
