§ Mr. MacGregorI have decided that the Marine Emergencies Organisation should be a candidate for executive agency status within my Department. I am confident that this will provide the MEO with the incentive and opportunity to enhance the well-regarded service it already provides. The necessary preparatory work is being put in hand for the organisation to become an agency on 1 April 1994.
