To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many residential properties are empty at Biggin Hill; and for how long they have been empty.

As at 31 March 1993, the latest date for which figures are available, 81 service married quarters at Biggin Hill were empty as follows:

Over one year 18
Over two years 9

Eight of these properties were allocated to service families who were due to move in shortly and the remaining 73 were in the process of being sold.
