§ Mr. William Ross
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which countries have signed, or have declared an intention to sign, the European charter for regional or minority languages; and which languages each country has specified or expressed an intention to specify, under article 3 of the charter.

§ Mr. Garel-Jones
The following countries have signed the Charter:

Austria

Cyprus

Denmark

Finland

Germany

Hungary

Liechtenstein

Luxembourg

Malta

Netherlands

Spain

No countries have declared an intention to sign and none has specified or expressed an intention to specify a language.
