§ Mr. VazTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will place in the Library copies of all circulars and other advice issued by his Department concerning the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 and the acquired rights directive.
§ Mr. Lang[holding answer 8 March 1993]: The national health service in Scotland management executive wrote to health authorities in Scotland on 11 December 1992 on the need to seek legal advice on the application of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981. A copy of this advice is being placed in the Library. No other general advice has been issued by my Department.
