To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about British aid to Uganda.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

We are maintaining a substantial programme of development assistance for Uganda. In 1991–92 gross British bilateral aid amounted to £26 million.
