Member for Darlington (Mr. Milburn) of 11 December 1992,Official Report, column 835, about the take-up of grants under the home energy efficiency scheme, what plans he has to improve access to, and take-up of, the scheme in London.
§ Mr. MacleanThe home energy efficiency scheme is a nationwide scheme and access to the grant in London is the same as elsewhere. Take-up in London has been lower than in other parts of the country but is now beginning to improve. Neighbourhood energy action is undertaking a study into the causes of the low take-up in London and I await the results of that study with interest.
