§ 30. Mr. KnoxTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement about the level of total demand in the economy.
§ Mr. PortilloLatest data indicate that the level of real domestic demand in the third quarter of 1992 was 0.6 per cent. higher than a year earlier. The majority of the Treasury's panel of independent forecasters and other outside forecasters expect it to pick up further in 1993. The Government will publish a new forecast in the financial statement and Budget report on 16 March.
