HC Deb 01 March 1993 vol 220 c28W
Mrs. Lait

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her oral statement of 16 February,Official Report, columns 133–37, how much of the £170 million capital spending on primary care in London will be spent over each of the next six years.

Mr. Sackville

In all, there will be over £40 million extra for primary care in London in 1993–94. The balance between capital and revenue spending will be for local decision as plans for the London initiative zone develop. The pattern of capital funding over subsequent years will depend on the level of need identified and the resources available. The Government are committed to providing £170 million for capital investment in London's primary care over the next six years.
