HC Deb 01 March 1993 vol 220 c21W
33. Mr. Gordon Prentice

To ask the Attorney-General what role his Department has in advising on the qualifications required of lawyers in Government service.

The Attorney-General

The lawyers management unit in the Treasury Solicitor's Department, for which I have ministerial responsibility, has a co-ordinating role in advising the Civil Service Commissioners, and the employing Departments, on any questions relating to the qualifications requried by Government lawyers in England and Wales.
