HC Deb 01 March 1993 vol 220 c21W
32. Mrs. Gorman

To ask the Attorney-General if he will make a statement on the way in which evidence is considered by the Crown prosecution service when it is deciding whether to proceed with a prosecution.

The Solicitor-General

The evidential requirement is that there should be sufficient admissible, substantial and reliable evidence that a criminal offence has been committed by an identifiable person and the evidence provides a realistic prospect of a conviction.
