To ask the Secretary of State for Wales when he last met representatives of area health authorities in Wales to discuss future provision of hospital beds.

I am in continual contact with representatives of all health authorities in Wales and the former Secretary of State for Wales, my right hon. Friend the Member for Wirral, West (Mr. Hunt), and I met all chairmen on 15 April.
