To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what recent representations he has received on alterations to assisted areas in Wales.

Mr. Redwood

Since taking office, I have received several representations on the assisted areas review. We hope to make an announcement before the parliamentary recess, following the necessary clearance by the European Commission.
