Mr. Richards

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the number and percentage of school leavers in Wales who have gone on to further and higher education in each year since 1979; and if he will make a statement.

Participation in further and higher education has increased substantially in recent years. Our policy is to secure even greater participation rates in future years.

The figures requested are as follows:
