§ Mr. YeoDisposals of any radioactive waste to the sewage system must be authorised under the Radioactive Substances Act 1960, unless the level of radioactivity is so low that the waste is covered by one of the exemptions to the Act. Authorisations are granted subject to such limitations and conditions as the regulator, the chief inspector of Her Majesty's inspectorate of pollution, thinks fit.
