§ Mr. DunnachieTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps are taken to ensure that the money allocated for self-build housing is available both to individual and to self-build groups.
§ Mr. Baldry[holding answer 27 May 1993]: In England the Housing Corporation has a statutory function to promote and assist the development of self-build groups and help to arrange advantageous private finance for these groups. The corporation may also pay Housing Association Grant to self-build groups who are registered housing associations.
