HL Deb 28 July 1993 vol 548 c136WA
Lord Marlesford

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether cyclists are allowed to use the new road access to Docklands; and, if not, why the needs of cyclists were not catered for in its construction; and whether cyclists are allowed to use the new Limehouse underpass.

Lord Strathclyde

Cyclists are allowed to use the Docklands highways except for both the Limehouse Link and East India Dock tunnels. The tunnels are prohibited by police notice to cyclists for safety reasons.

Narrow Street provides a cycle route and is available for use as an alternative to the Limehouse underpass. Signs for this route are due to be installed in the near future.
