Street Works Advisory Committee

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement about the street works advisory committee.

Mr. Key

I am glad to say that I have reappointed the committee for a period of two years from 1 July 1993 to 30 June 1995, with a particular remit to produce a report for publication towards the end of that period. This will complete the committee's work and it will then be wound up.

I am grateful to the committee for its work since it was first appointed in 1987, and look forward to receiving its advice during this further period.
