To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the current level of unemployment in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Atkins

At 17 December 1992, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 105,420 unemployed claimants in Northern Ireland, representing 14.4 per cent. of the work force.
