§ Mr. HanleyResponsibility for the management of services at Bangor hospital rests with the Eastern health and social services board. In June 1992 the Eastern board issued for consultation a paper entitled "Framework for General (Acute) Hospital Services within the Eastern Board Area". Comments and representations were invited from a broad range of interested groups and individuals including local MPs, district councils and health and social services councils. Since the consultation period ended on 30 September the board has been considering all the responses it has received, including those representative of the views of the people of Bangor. The board will issue a "Statement of Purchasing Intent", taking account of all the views and comments expressed, in the very near future.
