To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what estimate he has made of the economic cost of the MV Braer oil incident including the economic effect on fisheries, tourism and the local community.

Shetland Islands council is undertaking an economic impact study of the Braer incident. It is likely to be some time before the results are available.
