On 1 April 1991 Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and their networks of local enterprise companies took over responsibility for delivering youth training in Scotland. Local enterprise companies contract to provide numbers of training weeks, and numbers of places are not therefore available. Figures for 1990–91 are not available because of disruption to the management information gathering system during 1990–91.
