The final outturn for the recurrent costs of running my Department in 1992–93 is £386 million.

The running costs provision for my Departments, including the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency; the forthcoming Highways, Marine Safety and Marine Emergencies agencies; the new Office of Passenger Rail Franchising and the new Office of the Rail Regulator, for 1993–94 is £433 million in cash, and £420 million in 1992–93 prices. An estimated outturn will be published in the spring in the 1994 departmental report and the unified Budget supplement.

My Departments' planned running costs expenditure for 1994–95 will be published in the unified Budget supplement and in the Department's annual report which will be issued in the spring.
