§ Mr. Robin SquireThe new earnings survey recorded the average salary of all primary school teachers, including head teachers, in Great Britain at 1 April 1993 as £19,760 and of all secondary school teachers, including head teachers, as £21,663. The average salary of a primary school head teacher is estimated as £26,316 and a secondary school head teacher as £35,891.
