To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions have been held during the past four months between the Secretary to the interdepartmental review group on the Forestry Commission and representatives of wood processing companies; what has been the context of these discussions; and what indications have been given to those companies about future contracts.

[holding answer 13 December 1993:] Members of the Forestry Review Group have, from time to time, met representatives of a variety of organisations which have interests of relevance to its work. In many cases, these discussions have been held on a confidential basis at the request of the organisations.
