What public positions have been held since 1st January 1980 by (a) Sir Robin Buchanan, formerly of the Wessex Health Authority, (b) Sir James Ackers of the West Midlands Health Authority and (c) Dr. Gwyn Jones of the Welsh Development Agency.

The available information is as follows:

Sir Robin Buchanan was Chairman of Bath District Health Authority from 1982 to 1988, and Chairman of Wessex Regional Health Authority from 1988 to 1993. Since 1991 he has been Chairman of the National Health Service Supplies Authority.

Sir James Ackers was Chairman of West Midlands Regional Health Authority from 1982 to 1993. He was also a member of the Committee of Enquiry into Civil Service Pay (1981–1982), and of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission (1981–1990).

We understand that Dr. Miah Gwynfor (Gwyn) Jones was Chairman of the Welsh Development Agency from 1988 to 1993. He has been a member of the Council of the University of Wales, and of the Court of the University College of Swansea, since 1989; he has also been a member of the S4C (Welsh Fourth Channel) Authority and a Governor of the BBC since 1992.
