asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will seek a meeting with EC Environment Commissioner Ioannis Paleokrassas about the complaint made to him on 23rd November by the Nuclear Free Local Authorities National Steering Committee on the alleged failure of the United Kingdom to comply with Article 6(2) of Euratom Directive 80/836 as it concerns the Thorp facility at Sellafield.

Such a correspond-ence is a matter between the Nuclear Free Local Authorities National Steering Committee and the Commission of the European Communities. Her Majesty's Government are not party to it.
