§ Mr. Harry GreenwayTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to pass the proceeds from the sale of county hall and other ex-GLC property and assets to the London boroughs; how much money is expected to be involved; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BaldryThe distribution of such proceeds is a matter not for my right hon. Friend but for the London residuary body. The riverside building has been sold to the Shirayama Corporation, but the residuary body is still seeking to dispose of the remaining buildings on the county hall site. Certain moneys are to be distributed by 31 December 1993 to the City of London and the London boroughs under the terms of an order which my right hon. Friend has laid before Parliament. The total sum involved will become clear when the distribution is made.
