HL Deb 26 April 1993 vol 545 c3WA
Lord Norrie

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the words "good photocopies of maps will be accepted, but you must ensure that you respect copyright rules" in paragraph 123 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food guidance booklet on The Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) of the Common Agriculture Policy reform, means that farmers have to get permission of the Ordnance Survey, and if necessary pay a fee, to copy O.S. maps for submission with the IACS form.

Earl Howe

Ordnance Survey maps are subject to Crown copyright and must not be copied without the permission of Ordnance Survey. Farmers may obtain photocopies of Ordnance Survey maps they have purchased for their own use through licensed printers and land agents, who will collect the appropriate fee on behalf of the Ordnance Survey.
