Friend is currently considering an investment appraisal report on how best to establish a dedicated cancer treatment centre with radiotherapy facilities in north Wales. A separate economic appraisal of a recent proposal by the Clatterbridge centre for oncology for a networked radiotherapy treatment service is also being considered. My right hon. Friend hopes to be in a position to make an announcement soon.
