§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThere is no centrally held information on the ages of carers in Wales. The Office of Population Censuses and Surveys carried out a study in 1985 and published results for Great Britain1 which showed that 19 per cent. of male carers and 17 per cent of female carers were aged 65 or over.
