§ Mr. ByersTo ask the Secretary of State for Education what is the number of children of primary age being taught by one teacher in classes of (i) up to 30 pupils, (ii) 31 to 35 pupils, (iii) 36 to 40 pupils and (iv) over 40 pupils in(a) inner-London boroughs, (b) outer-London boroughs, (c) metropolitan districts and (d) county councils, for each year from 1986.
§ Mr. ForthThe table shows the number of pupils taught by one teacher in classes of sizes one to 30, 31 to 35, 36 to 40 and 41 and over in maintained primary schools in England for the categories requested, for each year 1986 to 1991, the latest date for which information is available.
