§ Mr. Robin Squire[holding answer 9 November 1992]: At the end of September 1992, the latest date at which 793W information is available for England, in respect of the 1990 non-domestic rating list there were about 550,000 outstanding proposals of which around 500,000 had been passed by valuation offices to valuation tribunals as appeals. This follows the clearance of over 400,000 cases.
