To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the number of recorded cases of pigs with swine influenza caused by virus strain type HI 195852 by region.

Although the Department is aware of a recent apparent increase in the incidence of respiratory disease in pigs, swine influenza is not a notifiable disease, so comprehensive data are not maintained.
