Mr. Alfred Morris

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security (1) what is the Government's target for the average length of time to process claims for(a) mobility allowance, (b) attendance allowance, (c) attendance allowance on grounds of terminal illness, (d) disability living allowance and (e) disability living allowance including a claim for the highest rate of care component on grounds of terminal illness; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if sufficient adjudication officers have been employed during the last three months to handle claims for attendance allowance in order to meet the Government's targets for speed of processing of claims; and if he will make a statement.
