§ Mr. ScottA total of 164,412 claims for attendance allowance were received in the first three months of this year. The number of these claims made on the ground of terminal illness is not available. On 1 May 1992 there were outstanding 119,930 ordinary attendance allowance claims and 2,428 claims on the grounds of terminal illness.
