§ Mr. HunterTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will place in the Library a specimen agreement of a type he has approved between a college of further education and a local education authority regarding the college's leasing of local education authority property.
§ Mr. EggarThe agreements that have been approved to date have been specific to the particular case. We expect governing bodies and local education authorities, in agreeing arrangements, to cover the following: the length of time the college is to remain on the site concerned; the nature of the occupancy—eg. lease or licence; whether any rent is to be paid; the responsibility for repairs and other outgoings; and the terms for cessation of the occupancy.
