§ Mr. EggarThe Department of Trade and Industry new and renewable energy programme expects to invest £24.3 million in 1992–93, of which £2.6 million is directly attributable to biofuels, including £547,000 for work on short rotation arable coppice. Complementary work on miscanthus, another energy crop, costing £45,000, is being funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
