To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what contingency plans have been made to deal with circumstances resulting in the loss of control by Group 4 of the Wolds prison.

For security reasons it is not our practice to publish contingency plans for any prison.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether circular instructions and standing orders issued by the Prison Department are applied to the Wolds prison.

No. Group 4 Remand Services Limited is required to deliver standards of performance which are specified in the contract for the management of Wolds prison. Within that framework the company has freedom to decide on the best procedures for achieving the desired results.
