§ Mr. OnslowTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has made of the probable effect on acid rain in Wales of an increase in utilisation of Pembroke power station from recent levels of 10 to 15 per cent. capacity to 60 per cent. capacity; and how this would be affected by the burning of orimulsion rather than other fuels.
§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe environmental effects of the burning of orimulsion fuel at Pembroke power station including the consequences of any increase in utilisation of the station are currently being considered by Her Majesty's inspectorate of pollution in relation to the application by National Power under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
