§ Mr. ChopeThe joint working party of officials from the Department and the County Surveyors Society on speed in villages is concerned primarily with developing technical measures for reducing vehicle speeds. It is planned to produce an interim report in April. This study is not a consultation exercise but we shall be consulting shortly on proposed revisions to departmental guidance on setting speed limits. The consultation document will be freely available.
