Sites damaged 1987–88 25 1988–89 19 1989–90 23 1990–91 30 1991–92 20 No sites of special scientific interest were destroyed in Scotland during this period.
In 1991–92, the area damaged was 2,852 hectares which represents 0.35 per cent. of the total area of sites of special scientific interest in Scotland in that year.
