§ Mr. Peter LloydOn 1 December 1992, 16 prisoners who have given Northern Ireland as their place of birth were serving sentences in England and Wales for serious offences related to terrorism. Of these, nine are serving life sentences. It is not the practice to discuss claimed or suspected affiliation to particular organisations.
