§ Mr. BaldryThe latest available figures for water abstraction in England and Wales and the percentage that were from ground water are set out in table 7.2 (p. 98) of issue No. 13 of the "Digest of Environmental Protection and Water Statistics", HMSO, 1991. Water in Scotland and Northern Ireland is a matter for my right hon. Friends the respective Secretaries of State. My Department holds no comparable figures for other European Community member states.
