Mr. Simon Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list, in tabular form, the amount of municipal waste per capita produced in(a) the United Kingdom and (b) each of the other European Community countries for the latest year for which figures are available.

It should be borne in mind that the term municipal waste may be defined differently by different member states.
